Yonder Mountain String Band is a progressive bluegrass group that originated in Nederland, Colorado, in 1998. The band members include Dave Johnston (banjo), Ben Kaufmann (bass), Adam Aijala (guitar), Allie Kral (fiddle), and Jacob Jolliff (mandolin). Known for their energetic live performances and a fusion of traditional bluegrass with elements of rock, punk, and improvisational music, Yonder Mountain String Band has carved a distinctive niche in the contemporary bluegrass scene.
