At age nine Beyoncé formed the singing-rapping girl group Destiny’s Child (originally called Girl’s Tyme) in 1990 with childhood friends. Destiny's Child was an American girl group formed in Houston, Texas in 1990. The original members were Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett. The group went through several lineup changes, with Knowles and Rowland remaining the only constant members.
