Not to piss in anyones cheerios, (don’t eat that shit!) But I’ve never understood the attraction to arm chair quarterbacking of team sports. It’s not that I don’t understand the attraction, I’m just still bemused by how many still find it attractive when it’s one of the literally BIGGEST distractions ever served up on a silver platter. Intentionally to keep you playing tribal games, thinking there are different sides, (2 teams) getting angry literally about nothing, fighting about it, yelling at screens while eating junk food-like-products & drinking oneself into a stupor. As well as ‘lest we forget when winning usually, (how backwards is this) starting riots & destroying your own city in celebration of such ridiculousness.
NONE of this ongoing bread & circus carried over from the Romans in the year 100 CE is good for any of us. Only difference now it’s not for the sport of killing a combatant or innocent animal.
It’s a superficial appeasement, a diversion or distraction. The Roman poet Juvenal originally coined it to decry the "selfishness" of common people and their neglect of wider concerns. The phrase implies a population's erosion or ignorance of civic duty as a priority.
In much modern literature, this represents the Annona as a "briberous and corrupting attempt of the Roman emperors to cover up the fact that they were selfish and incompetent tyrants"

If you wanna play sports, get out there & get some exercise or join a team. But come on, there are a thousand better things you can do with your life then this or worse joining a virtual league so one can waste even more time…
I've made a new choice from here on out. When at an event or around friends, if anyone begins talking about team sports, i'm just going to walk away from the conversation. No explanation, no words, i'm done... If we ourselves allow the madness to continue unchecked or humored in any way, the distraction or problem continues.
It's the biggest shit show on Earth, (other then the government) & the masses blindly give their individual collective energy to it. Don't even get me started on the satanic openings of every single olympic ceremony in recent years.
