dumpstaphunk is a New Orleans-based funk and jam band formed in 2003 by second-generation Neville family members Ivan Neville (keyboards, vocals) and Ian Neville (guitar). The band also features Tony Hall (bass), Nick Daniels (trumpet), Alex Wasily (saxophone, flute), Ashlin Parker (keys, vocals), and Deven Trusclair (drums).
Dumpstaphunk is known for their high-energy live shows, which combine complex funk, rock, and jazz arrangements with soulful melodies and Big Easy traditions. The band has earned a reputation as one of the most well-regarded next-generation New Orleans live powerhouses, and their shows regularly attract sit-ins from legends like Carlos Santana, Bob Weir, and Trombone Shorty.
